Things are moving along....

Another bi-weekly appointment last Tuesday and another clean bill of health for both me and Aiden. Aiden is head down (very down!) and I mostly know that because lately he's had hiccup's and before my appointment I could feel those hiccup's way down low and the Dr. confirmed that for me at the appointment. Apparently he could feel the baby's head, I couldn't really feel it though?? I'm up another very normal 2 pounds, Aiden's heartbeat was high 130's low 140's and my belly is measuring exactly what it should be....between 31 and 32 cm. Here's another new picture of me at 32 weeks......

yup, growing bigger and bigger now! Things with me have been going great too as far as how I'm feeling. Some days can be tough on me and all I want to do is get horizontal and take the pressure off of my belly but other than that I have nothing to complain about. I think I experienced a few Braxton Hicks contractions last week too because my whole belly got really hard for a few seconds and then it subsided. All very normal!!

A few of my wonderful girlfriends Katy and Corrie came over last Sunday to help me paint Aiden's room.....thanks Auntie Katy and Auntie Corrie!!! :-) Here are a few pics of me and the Auntie's in action.....

We didn't notice what a messy job the previous owners had done with the Purple it used to be until we were actually painting. The trim work had lots of purple where there shouldn't be purple and the only choice was to cover those mistakes with blue instead. It was funny because the whole time we're purposely messing up to cover the purple where there shouldn't be purple we would make comments about how much it was killing us to do such a sloppy job!! Well, if you know me you know that that annoyed me to no end and by the end of the night I had repainted all the trim work and it now looks spectacular!! I just got lucky that the can of trim paint I had matched perfectly so I didn't really need to repaint all of it, just needed to go around and cover the sloppy blue we had to cover the purple with. I also sponged a shimmery pearl like paint to the ceiling and it looks really nice. Here is the room all finished before furniture......

I'll post another picture when it's all set up too. His furniture is ordered and 2 of the pieces are in stock and being held for us, the 3rd piece is will take 7-14 days to come in and then we get to set up his furniture and start putting away his stuff as I'm assuming it won't be until after my baby shower that we're able to set the room up. Yes, I do know when my shower is, I spoiled all the fun!! Can't wait!

Moving along...........

I had the first of my biweekly appointments today and all looks good as usual. Although I vowed to NOT look at the scale again during my appointments I found it to be like a solar eclipse......you know you shouldn't look but you do anyway! I'm up another 2 pounds which is completely normal so I'm not stressing about it. Baby's heartbeat was high 130's....again, very normal. My belly was measuring 29cm's which is right on target for being between 29-30 weeks along. My blood pressure is staying consistent w/ what it has been for the whole pregnancy....112/62. There's really not much more to report other than it feels like my ribs are starting to spread apart but it's nothing I can't handle considering how great the whole pregnancy has been. Oh, and Ryan and I attended the first of 4 Lamaze classes and it was good. Didn't feel like we got to much of the good stuff since it was a lot of introduction stuff. Meeting the other couples, going through the literature given to us, etc. I'm looking forward to the next 3 classes and learning more though. Ryan wasn't crazy about the idea of going but he's being pretty good and going without complaining. I think he secretly even had a good time because a few of the guys in the class were saying things out loud that he was thinking.....there were a few jokesters in the group.

Until the next appointment............

Off to the 3rd trimester I go!

Things are really beginning to move along now! This picture is taken between 28 and 29 weeks, let the countdown begin!

Being that I've begun my 3rd trimester I have graduated from monthly appointments to bi-weekly appointments and just as he's been right from the beginning baby boy is doing great! I went in for some blood work last week to test me for gestational diabetes and to check my anemic level and not only did I test negative for gestational diabetes but my anemic level is exactly the same as it was during my first tests at 12 weeks. I'm told by my doc that that is very unusual and a very good thing. Almost all women experience a drop because they are now sharing their blood with the baby and it's natural for that level to drop but not mine! :-) Aiden's heartbeat was 143 which is completely normal and where it should be. I'm at a total weight gain of 25 pounds now which is a lot more than I was hoping for at this point but I know that I am doing the best I can as far as eating good so I think I've decided to not find out what I weigh at the rest of my appointments so I don't dwell on it too much. As long my baby Aiden is healthy that's all that matters. Aiden has become so much more active now too! I can feel him moving around in there at all times of the day, sometimes much more frequent than others and all of it VERY neat and I don't want this part to end but when it does I will be moving onto something even better....meeting my little man! :-) I have begun however to get increasingly more uncomfortable these days and finding myself needing to get horizontal earlier at night when I can due to the soreness in my upper rib cage area. Oh, and it's official.....I've moved onto waddling stage! All in all though I still consider myself one of the luckiest pregnant women alive because so far I have had a very healthy and easy pregnancy and I'm very thankful for that!

If you've been keeping up with my blog you know that Ryan and I moved about 6 weeks ago and it has been a whirlwind of things to do to get settled but we are just about there. With the exception of waiting for a few more pieces of furniture to be delivered and getting the baby's room ready just about everything has been done and my closer friends/family reading this right now are thinking to themselves......physco! Yes, I will admit....I went a little nuts on getting everything done right away but to my defense it's something I would have done anyway even if Aiden wasn't on his way so the fact that it's not going to be long before he's here too really added to my stress to get it all done NOW.....hey....I'm nesting! :-) Here are some pictures of the house now that we're settled and I'm ready to show everyone......

this is going to be Aiden's room and as you can see it is purple so once it gets painted a sweet baby blue it will be ready to furnish and start to get ready for Aiden's arrival...........

what do you think? We are still in love with the place and we are really enjoying not living in an apartment anymore and so far so good on the new tenants, hopefully it stays that way!

I'll post again soon. Oh, and we start Lamaze on Monday too so that should be fun! Stay tuned......
